W elcome to District Institute of Education and Training, DIET Siwan

DIET Siwan was formerly known as Women’s Primary Teacher Education College.It has been established in 1958 with the aim of Providing the pre- service & In – service teacher training.DIETs have been visualised as an academic body at the district level to offer all the academic support required for improving and enhancing the quality standard of school education.The main functions of DIET are identified at the background of achieving universalisation of Elementary Education (UEE). The important role of DIET is to provide training, academic support in school, co- ordination in research, monitoring, evaluation etc . At school level of education.In order to perform the role and assigned responsibilities in a better way the DIET faculties need to equip themselves with Innovative Valuable ideas, skills and certain competencies to cope up with new demands and challenges.
